Concept Study 3

  1. Raedun,

This exploration, the definition of a field through self-similar elements points toward very new spatial conditions, and I think reall begins to relate to talk of bueaty through the understanding of natural form. The big question for me is: How will you begin to add variety into the field? Reiser and Umemoto (the Atlas of Novel Techtonics people) suggest two possible ways: variability along a simple trajectory, or uniformity along a variable trajectory. In either case, complexity could begin to be added through experimentation in Grasshopper (attraction points can begin to vary the volume, rotation, position, etc. of your spikes) so that each unit reponds to local conditions.
